Happy Birthday! Do you still have horses in your life? I so wish I could still ride, but back surgeries prevent that now, so I must enjoy riding through watching others. But I grew up riding through woods and fields in Stamford CT. I noticed your entry on preserving the Merritt Parkway, which brought up more memories, as I grew up on land bordering the Parkway. I remember my mother always saying that the Guinea Rd. bridge was the only fieldstone bridge on the parkway. When I was little, I loved to wave at people from the bridge, and they always waved back. You may know that the parkway was the reason that fox hunting had to stop in that area, as the single-minded foxhounds would get killed when perusing their quarry across the parkway.

Happy Birthday! I hope you are well and well-spoiled today.
Unfortunately, I won't see you at reunion, as I have a big family (27 people!) reunion in Chatham, MA, for my sister's 89th birthday.
I hope to see you in 2029 for our 60th!
