PROFILE
I had 10 years in the mortgage business, eventually becoming a loan officer, a very satisfying position. But I kept running into ethics problems. I also I taught high school and college -- not long at either. All through my working life, I've struggled with intermittent poor health. It's slowed me way down. So I'm struggling now to finish a novel and a musical.

Along the way, I’ve published journalism, fiction & poetry. And my plays and musicals have been produced by professional, academic and community theater companies.

For my senior photo, some friends and I dragged down the stairs and out into the yard a tall orange hall tree that had a mirror and hat hooks. I was expecting a photo that showed the whole hall tree with me sitting in it. But the photographer had other ideas, and the photo turned out as you see above.
