Mary Flinn Writes: Something I remember most about Susan Ross is her good-natured equanimity. In the Little Theatre or Rathaus or Boxwood, whether we were working on a stage set or simply hanging around the house kitchen, I rarely remember her without a smile. I'm so glad she came to reunion.
Susan's middle name was certainly "Generosity." She gave friendship, steadfast support to us as classmates, and later as lifelong friends, bridemaids, working girl roommates, and with her husband Bill as hosts when our family of six descended on their picturesque clifside home in Kenai, Alaska. She gave her spirit and compassion to the disadvantaged students in the far western bush of Alaska's icy winters. Susan held her family together with her three sisters and loving parents. To her church, her community charities she gave her heart. I can still hear her laugh. Bill Hatch has been her perfect soulmate since their wedding in 1980 - and their loving care of thier home in Fredericksburg's historic district. She gave to everyone. Thank you, Susan!!
