Suzy Redpath and I have been in touch about Lula--she was such a wonderful, talented dancer--a real inspiration to all of us in Orchesis. I remember being most impressed when she told us that when she danced with the Birmingham Ballet before Hollins, there was a frig backstage where she could keep her candy bars to eat before going onstage. Needless to say the Hollins backstage did not have a frig stocked with candy bars.

I loved her stories, her accent and her dancing. She was a big part of my Hollins experience and I will miss her. Mimi McConnell Hutton

I remember watching her dance and being so amazed by her talent and beauty. She seemed otherworldly to me.
